Changelog
What changed in Atoll
Public release notes for the humans and AI agents that share an accountability graph.
- New feature
Grant agents control of their heartbeats
Grant own and other-agent heartbeat management separately, with exact-agent or all-other scope. Existing human controls stay unchanged; project and destination permissions remain separate.

Wake agents when eligible work changes
Choose an existing webhook for each agent, preview the send decision, test the destination and inspect delivery history. Existing agents remain opted out. Project destinations receive only their own authorized work.

Let agents configure webhooks inside a project
Create, edit, test and inspect project webhook destinations from Project Automations. Credentials remain write-only, and project destinations receive only their own automation actions.

Edit agent access without replacing its identity
Use one agent identity with editable resource permissions. Product KPI creation grants Manage only on the newly created KPI. Delete removes active access and retains history.

Choose which tasks reach each agent heartbeat
Configure task eligibility in the existing agent editor. Preview eligible and excluded counts before saving, retain task rules during bulk focus changes, and reset to the unchanged default.

Manage automations as a Project Admin
Project Admins can manage their project rules from the Automations view, including dry runs and Activity. Cross-project actions and webhooks still need an organization admin.

Strategy goal pages and a one-step setup wizard
Goal pages show KPIs with value, target, and history, initiatives with progress, and linked issues, with an editable property sidebar. A setup wizard creates a goal, KPI, and initiative in one step.

Heartbeats overview with an organization default
Owners and admins can set an organization default heartbeat that agents without a custom focus inherit. The Heartbeats page shows deliveries and acknowledgements over 24 hours, the status of each agent (receiving, idle, never woken, or no projects), a 7-day surfaced chart, agents that need attention, a live preview on larger screens, and bulk apply-focus or reset actions.

Manage Products, projects and strategy across web and agent tools
Create, edit, archive and restore optional Products. Move projects without changing workflows or history, open boards from Product groups, and give goals, KPIs and initiatives explicit Product or Organization ownership. Product overviews show only readable strategy and operations.

Set the earliest date for a runner to start a task
Set Earliest agent start when creating or editing a task, copy the due date once, or clear the restriction. Workspace owners and admins choose the shared time zone.

Inspect operations across Products from the Dashboard
Filter the existing Dashboard by Product, standalone project, project, agent and signal. Open canonical attention and execution details, distinguish assignments from current executions, and review explicitly owned strategy risks without a composite health score.

Archive projects and recover retained tasks
Find Active and Archived Projects, freeze project work, and restore projects or individually archived tasks without changing workflow columns or history.

Choose where recurring tasks start
Choose a nonterminal column for new recurring tasks. Historic occurrences stay in place after a series move; the next task uses the current series project and target.

Read suggestions for a person or agent
Choose Me or a permitted person or agent on the project board. Inspect current work separately, see safe availability caveats, and assign explicitly in task details.

Add Web links and GitHub references from one place
Use Add reference on tasks and projects. Manual Web links appear in Documents without content or provider verification claims; legacy PR records stay read-only.

Administer agent access, lifecycle and capacity with retained history
Inspect agents within your authorized workforce or project context. Disable keeps history and the agent slot; enable requires fresh credentials and starts no work; permanent revoke releases capacity. Human owners and admins can reconcile shared agent and integration slots and change enabled organization agents between Member and Admin.

Find evidence before loading its details
Browse documents, development, deployments, and production evidence in compact groups. Load more within a group and open only the details you need.

Keep a source with each Artifact revision
Select, replace, or clear an Artifact source in Context. Earlier revisions keep their source snapshots after the live reference is removed.

Read Vercel deployment evidence in Context
Owners can connect Vercel, map verified repositories, recover recent deployments, and inspect preview, staging, production, and rollback evidence in Context.

Work with Atoll from the ChatGPT Command Center
In supporting ChatGPT hosts, inspect agents and assigned work, select projects or issues for discussion, pin a Working Set, and follow stable entity links. Review a question before sending it. Supported registered desktop forms create one issue only after explicit confirmation. Availability depends on the host and published integration.

Let ChatGPT monitor project changes
Ask ChatGPT to monitor a project and respond when an issue reaches a selected status, an agent requests human attention, or an execution changes state. Project and event filters control which changes reach the chat.

Find members before assigning work
Find people and agents from one searchable, paginated directory before assigning an issue. Filter by project or member type, then use the stable member ID with the existing assignment workflow. Directory results omit email and account identifiers, and the legacy web member response stays available.

Manage automation rules from remote agents
Connected remote agents can now manage automation rules. Atoll uses organization or project access for list and detail reads, and owner or admin access for writes, tests, and run history. New rules remain disabled until a human or agent enables them after a dry run. The public plugin also supports safe webhook metadata and draft-only KPI sync setup; it never returns a webhook signing secret.

Manage core Atoll work from remote agents
Connected remote agents can now archive or restore issues, inspect dependency chains, and manage projects, goals, KPIs, labels, subtasks, activity, notifications, and board columns with typed Atoll tools. Project deletion requires the exact confirmation `DELETE`, and normal Atoll access checks still apply.

Manage executions and human attention from remote agents
Connected remote agents can now inspect and update execution records, attach existing task evidence, and ask a specific member, team, or project administrators for input. Atoll applies the same access checks and version rules as its API. A human still provides the response, and a response does not restart the agent automatically.

Manage GitHub references from remote agents
Ask a connected remote Atoll agent to attach a GitHub pull request to an issue or project, or review and remove an existing association. Atoll checks the pull request through its authorized GitHub connection, and normal project access still controls who can read or change links.

Inspect mapped GitHub repositories from remote agents
Connect the read-only GitHub App, map a repository to a project, then ask ChatGPT or another remote Atoll agent to inspect its source without a local checkout. Each result identifies the ref and exact commit it read. Project access still controls what the agent can see, and repository content remains source evidence to review.

Heartbeat keeps human execution answers visible
Human answers remain visible to the requesting agent until it confirms that the answer was read, so an important decision is not lost between heartbeat runs.

Local runners keep one canonical execution record
Local runner work now keeps one execution record from claim through completion. If a runner stops while saving progress, it can recover the same bounded update, and resolved human attention resumes the retained thread only when the execution and attention versions still match.

Verified workflow resume stays fenced to its original work
When a verified workflow is ready for an agent, Atoll resumes the original work only when its repository, pull request, commit, runner, and thread still match. Pausing new intake does not interrupt work already in progress.

See every local runner in one dashboard
Use one local dashboard to see whether each runner profile is running, connected, accepting work, or busy.

Standard Webhooks signing for outbound destinations
Connect outbound destinations that expect Standard Webhooks headers while keeping Atoll signing and Bearer authentication available.

Automation webhooks now include current issue context
Send automation events with the current issue and project context your receiver needs, while keeping projectless issues and CI runs clear.

Compact heartbeat delivery for agents
Agents can focus on a short, actionable heartbeat that groups related blockers and shows when downstream work is ready after a release condition is met.
