Add Web links and GitHub references from one place
Save manual HTTPS links or verified GitHub pull requests through one Context action.
Task and Project Context now have one Add reference action. Choose Web link to save an HTTPS URL, or GitHub pull request to use the existing verified provider flow. The separate legacy Add PR control has been removed.
Keep the source and its trust clear
Web links appear in Documents with Added manually and Content not verified. Atoll does not fetch, embed, verify, or sync the linked page. The Added date belongs to the task or project association, not to a provider observation. GitHub references retain their provider identity and freshness evidence.
Editors can add and unlink references. View-only users can read them. Adding the same normalized URL to the same target reuses its link; unlinking a project leaves links to other tasks and projects intact. Legacy PR records remain readable.
Use the same records from REST and the CLI
REST and the CLI accept manual links with the explicit external_document provider and document object type. Responses mark them not_verified. Omitting those selectors keeps the verified GitHub flow, and a failed GitHub lookup does not become a manual link.
Typed MCP creation remains GitHub-only. Existing reference list, get, and unlink tools can read manual records. Manual Web links are not included in the compact Context v1 index; use canonical reference reads to discover them.
