See what matters next on your project board

Inspect a small set of recommended tasks, review their evidence, and assign work from the existing task details.

boardsplanningstrategy

Project boards now include What matters next: up to five eligible tasks with the strongest available reason, source evidence, and relevant caveats. The section works independently of board filters, so a recommended task can be outside the tasks currently visible in your columns.

Inspect before assigning

Open a task to use its existing details and assignee picker. Assignments remain explicit and subject to your project permissions. Continue marks active work, and Review assignment asks you to inspect existing ownership. Neither action automatically starts or dispatches work.

Reasons point to visible source evidence. Initiative and project milestone links open existing Atoll views. Stale or unknown KPI evidence stays labelled, and the evaluation time shows when the recommendation was computed.

Hide only for the current view

Hide for this view removes a row for the current view. Reloading clears that local choice. Show hidden brings it back immediately. This changes no task, strategy, priority, or other person's recommendations. To defer shared work, update its ordinary status, dependencies, dates, priority, assignment, milestone, or strategy links.

Set a Candidate column in Board Settings to enable recommendations for a project. Without one, the section points editors to that configuration. Empty results and unavailable evidence do not block the board; Retry and Refresh read the current evidence again.
