Give goals, KPIs and initiatives a Product owner
Keep Product strategy distinct while retaining shared goals, cross-project contribution and metric history.
Goals, KPIs and initiatives can now belong to Organization or one Product. Create or edit the owner in the existing Strategy and Initiative flows. The chain wizard applies one owner to each new record. Strategy and Initiative filters select explicit ownership, so contributing projects do not redefine a record's owner.
Keep independent metrics and shared contribution
Two Products can each own an MRR KPI while an Organization-owned MRR KPI remains separate. KPI and initiative goal links permit matching Product owners or Organization ownership on either side. Explicit KPI impacts and execution links can cross Product groups within the organization under the existing access rules.
Move ownership and retain history
Owners and admins can move or detach strategy without recreating it. IDs, KPI snapshots, source and sync configuration, targets, impacts and execution links stay attached. A conflicting goal move fails and asks you to reassign linked strategy first. Organization ownership can serve as an intermediate step. Each actual move records Activity; a repeated no-op does not add another event.
Archived Products keep their existing strategy usable. Move strategy out or edit it as before; restore the Product before assigning more strategy into it. Product ownership grants no new project or strategy permissions.
Existing goal, KPI and initiative REST POST/PATCH routes accept product_id as a UUID or null. Omit it on PATCH to retain the current owner. Collection filters accept product_id=UUID or product_id=none, and keep their existing response shapes. Typed CLI/MCP ownership options follow separately.
